Chivas Brothers contacted Barum & Dewar with an urgent request for support – they required an aluminium case fitted with custom designed internal foam to hold two Ballantine’s bottles and a crystal decanter with its own presentation box.

They had existing drawings of the bottle and a sketch of the presentation box but crucially needed the finished case in Glasgow within two weeks to meet a deadline for a presentation event.

Having worked with Chivas Brothers since 2014 on a number of prestigious presentation case projects, the team had an excellent understanding of the requirement and were well placed to deliver on this project.

The tight turnaround of three weeks instantly ruled out the originally requested items and after discussion and collaboration between Barum & Dewar and Chess Dynamics, the team at Barum & Dewar looked at similar suitable alternative racks and cases that would answer the original brief but that could also be supplied on a very tight lead time.

The Barum & Dewar team identified a suitable rugged case, 19” racks and additional accessories that could be supplied in time.

Due to our ability to quickly respond to client challenges, the B&D team is well practiced in dealing with quick turnarounds.

In this project, by ensuring we fully understood the client brief and captured all that needed to be done and by when, we kept the client fully informed at all stages of the process.

Furthermore, by ensuring we controlled all aspects of the design, case sourcing and in-house foam manufacture and fit out, this meant B&D was able to take responsibility for all aspects of the successful manufacture and delivery of this prestigious case.
