ZARGES K470

A versatile, lightweight aluminium case range for the safe transport and storage of valuable equipment.

The ZARGES K470 is an established range of reusable aluminium cases designed to provide a strong, lightweight solution for transporting and storing equipment across a wide variety of environments.

Available in 25 standard sizes, with capacities ranging from 13 to 829 litres, the range provides considerable flexibility for different equipment dimensions and transport requirements. Its aluminium construction combines relatively low weight with strength and durability, while welded profiles, stainless-steel hinges and cast aluminium stacking corners support repeated use.

At Barum & Dewar, the K470 provides a proven starting point from which we can develop a complete protective packaging solution. We consider the equipment itself, how it will be transported and handled, the operating environment and the level of protection required before developing a solution around the specific project.

Why choose this solution?

Barum & Dewar works with an extensive range of established protective case and container manufacturers, allowing us to focus on finding the right solution for your application rather than promoting a single product or material.

Lightweight aluminium construction
A strong and durable case format that helps minimise unnecessary packaging weight where equipment is regularly moved or transported.
Stackable for transport and storage
Sizes based around the Euro pallet footprint (1200 x 800 mm), together with cast aluminium stacking corners, help make efficient use of available storage and transport space.
Extensive size range
Twenty-five standard sizes provide options from smaller instruments and components through to significantly larger equipment, with special sizes also available.
Environmental protection options
A peripheral lid seal is standard, with enhanced IP65 and selected IP67 configurations available where greater protection against dust and moisture is required.
Designed for repeated use
Welded aluminium profile frames, stainless-steel hinges, solid rivets and reinforced construction support a long service life.
Practical handling
Ergonomic spring handles and secure fasteners support frequent handling and operational use.

Designed around your equipment

Selecting the case is only one part of developing an effective protective packaging solution. Every B&D project starts by understanding what needs to be protected, including the equipment dimensions, weight and sensitivity alongside transportation, storage, handling and environmental requirements.

The K470 can then form the basis of a solution developed specifically for the product it needs to protect. B&D can design the internal protection and other project-specific features required to create a complete solution rather than simply supplying an empty case.

Tell us about the equipment you need to protect, how it will be transported and the environments it will encounter. Our team will work with you to develop the most appropriate protective solution for your project.
